Creation, the Fall and Redemption

Dan Roca, on August 27, 2017. Part of the Genesis series

Main Theme: Genesis calls us to believe that our Creator is working out a promise to bless all nations, even through man's fall and intentions of evil.

1. God's creation was good, but man's rebellion caused a brokenness that still felt to this day (1-11)
2. God began work on his promised redemption by creating a family for his own, though they are broken, too. (12-50)

Genesis 3:15

15 I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and her offspring;
he shall bruise your head,
and you shall bruise his heel.” (ESV)

Genesis 12:2-3

And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (ESV)

Genesis 50:20

20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today. (ESV)
